Enhancing The Pride Of The Country With Railway Police Force Foundation Day
Being a part of the armed forces in India, is a matter of privilege and honor. But there are many branches of the armed forces in India and so, people can proudly choose the ones which they want to join. In recent years, after the year 1985, a new police force came into reckoning and a landmark was created in the arena of Railway police force. Primarily constituted with the purpose of protecting the vastly spread out and networked Indian railways, the GRP was involved in providing protection to the railways as well as people who used these services.
But in the year 1985 on 20th September, the GRP was reconstituted as an Armed Forces unit in the country, through a parliamentary enactment. Now the railway protection force was held in the same vein as the other armed forces such as CRPF, BSF, ITBP and others. Due to such changes, increased pride and sense of responsibility came to be associated with the RPF. Since then, not only have the youth of India come out to be a part of this esteemed force, but the force has contributed with all its support to manage natural calamities and mainly railway disasters in the country.
The 20th of every September is therefore celebrated with various walking off parades in various centers throughout the country. Since its emergence as a Central Police Organizations, the RPF has taken part in the Republic day parade every year. Commemorating the day in the lives of those in the service and those already retired gives a sense of respect for the country and bestows honor on all those people who struggle to give the countrymen a peaceful environment.
